AmericasMart Trip

What an amazing week it was at AmericasMart in Atlanta, Georgia! If you do not know already, AmericasMart is a wholesale trade center that is one of the largest in the world. Interior designers and store owners from all over the world come to see what the upcoming trends are and to make purchases for their businesses. I cannot wait to share my personal experience from the Mart with you!

My interns and I ended our first day at Superica, a local Tex - Mex restaurant that had the most unique decor, the tastiest food, and even better service! How could you not feel welcomed walking through this

bright, yellow door?

If you enjoy dining at a restaurant with a special atmosphere, Superica is the place for you. From it's trendy and cozy lounge area to the bold, industrial lighting, not one detail of this restaurant was overlooked. The colorful cocktails were the perfect addition to the aesthetic of this fabulous restaurant. Make sure to check it out the next time you are in the Atlanta area!

We could not help but notice the wonderful styling, products, and details throughout some of the vendor spaces in the Mart. Particularly in Creative Co - Op, Kalalou, Codarus, and Aesthic Movement, just to name a few.

Creative Co - Op are masters of all things styling. This company has such a knack for placing home accents and decor together in a way that looks perfectly balanced, while still showcasing the larger, bold elements a room has to offer.

Here you can see some of my own personal favorite detailed shots at Creative Co - Op.

Kalalou... need I say more? They have some of the most authentic, vibrant faux - flowers. Faux - flowers

can add unique texture, vibrant color, and organic shapes to your space without you having to deal with the upkeep of live botanicals.

The texture in these faux -flowers was even more incredible in person.

Codarus offers several brands under one roof. Home accents, rugs, lighting and more. The saturated candy-colored (Jolly Ranchers?) pillows, were as soft as they look, providing the perfect invitation to touch and cuddle up.

These unique floor and wall baskets were to die for because of their natural, aged appearance.

Aesthetic Movement is a company that represents unique local and international brands. They are a think-tank for smart creative collaborations. Selling only to designers and the trade they have a wide breadth of fabulous products and home accents.

From jewelry, to kitchenware, clothing and coffee table books, there is something for everyone.

It is companies like these that we, designers, love to source from and provide our clients with unique finds.

In the midst of all of our market finds, we got to attend the Eye on the Guy: Ultimate Home Decor & Fashion Trend for the Style Savvy Man discussion! It was so helpful to hear the male perspective of how important style is to them, whether that be personal style or home decor. Each of them discussed how most men aspire to have the "full" package in life, and that includes a well-designed house to come home to.

Jeremiah Brent, interior designer, said that we are connected more to the progress of our lives, not the perfection. This was so refreshing to hear and the perfect reminder for when you are in the process of designing your home. We have to remember that our homes are our dwelling places, a place that we want to be comfortable in and love at the end of the day. It is important to think about this when you are choosing what goes in your home.

I had the best time in Atlanta seeing such impressive vendors and as always, catching up with some familiar faces. I hope you enjoyed seeing a brief glimpse of what it is like at AmericasMart! I always return to Nashville feeling so inspired and ready to conquer my on-going projects as well as the projects that lie ahead! I will see you next year, Atlanta!
