Instagram Roundup Part 2: Wallpaper

For the second installment of our instagram roundups, we've curated some of our favorite wallpapers. We know, we know, you think that we've gone bonkers and that only our grandmothers had wallpaper in their houses - but this is NOT your granny's wallpaper.
The industry has come such a long way in terms of the prints and patterns, and at TDS we love spicing up a room with a beautiful wallpaper. Hopefully after taking a gander at these prints, you all can see just how fabulous they are! Don't forget to check out the instagram profiles for a better look into the creative process and the stories behind the paper designs!
Morris & Co.
Wallpaper can be that subtle extra layer to warm up the space or the dramatic "WOW" that takes it to the next level, so there is truly a little bit of something for everyone. Nowadays, these papers are more like pieces of art, with such amazing detail it will blow your mind. A prime example of this would be these Morris & Co. papers by William Morris.

Serena & Lily
These papers are right in line with how Serena & Lily would describe their brand: "Classic influences with modern lines: eclectic inspiration with great American style." Talk about a little bit of everything! These papers sure do live up to that expectation. It truly is a curated stylish blend that makes every room feel special.

Zak + Fox
We love that Zak + Fox prints all have a unique story to go along with them. The creators, Zak and his dog Fox, travel the world looking for inspiration so there is definitely a global influence coming into play here, which we cannot get enough of!

Rebel Walls This is a key example of just how far the printing technology for wallpaper has come. Although it was originally founded in 2012 by Christofer & Irene Gimmersta, the history of the founders and their love of wallpaper dates back to 1924.
Rebel Walls primarily produces wall murals, and the amount of detail found on these prints is just astonishing, its so meticulous that it actually looks as though the wallpaper has 3-dimensional qualities to it. Whether you want to encapsulate the whole room or just cover one wall, the result is still fantastic.

Hygge & West
Started in 2008 by two design loving former lawyers, Hygge & West encapsulates the Danish concept of "hygge," which in its basic form means "cozy," but encapsulates a warm and good life spent with good people. This could be snuggling by the fire, dinner with the family, or reading a bedtime story to the kids.
What a wonderful concept to literally cover the walls in your home with! It's safe to say that their papers really do provide that extra magic that makes the space cozy, but also excitingly inviting.

Relativity Textiles
These textile prints are all created and designed by the founder, Erin Minkley. They are based on Erin's travels around the world and the cultures that she has been immersed in. Filled with vibrant colors, texture and a little bit of shine from its different sheens and metallic finishes, they can provide those extra layers of depth to a room that only a lush, highly-layered paper can.

Ergo NOT quite the old-school paper you may remember. A well-selected wallpaper will completely transform your space. Don't just limit yourself to the obvious wall application. Consider placing wallpaper on the ceiling, door, and on the back of open shelves. Think outside the box and get creative!
